SUMMARY

The IT Officer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s information technology systems to ensure efficient and secure operations. In the private security industry, this role is critical in supporting security infrastructure such as CCTV systems, access control, communication platforms, and incident reporting systems.

The IT Officer ensures system reliability, data security, and timely technical support across head office and multiple operational sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Hardware Repairs & Maintenance
   
   
   • Diagnose and repair faulty computers, peripherals, and IT equipment.
   
   
   • Perform upgrades (e.g., RAM, storage) and maintain hardware inventory.
   
   
   
   


2. IT Troubleshooting & Support
   
   
   
   • Resolve software, network, and system issues for staff.
   
   
   • Provide timely technical support and train employees on IT tools.
   
   
   
   


3. Systems Administration
   
   
   
   • Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, and related services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
   
   
   • Oversee user accounts, permissions, backups, and disaster recovery.
   
   
   
   


4. IT Security Management
   
   
   
   • Implement security protocols (firewalls, antivirus, patches).
   
   
   • Conduct audits, monitor threats, and enforce cybersecurity policies.
   
   
   
   


5. Network Engineering
   
   
   
   • Maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure (routers, switches, VPNs).
   
   
   • Optimize network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
   
   
   
   


6. Website Administration
   
   
   
   • Update content, monitor performance, and ensure CMS functionality.
   
   
   • Collaborate with developers for enhancements and SEO compliance.
   
   
   
   


7. Guard Monitoring System Support
   
   
   
   • Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
   
   
   • Liaise with security teams to ensure system reliability.
   
   
   
   


8. Any other duties assigned by the Head of department.
