The Carpenter is responsible for repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings. The role requires the ability t, measure accurately, and use woodworking tools to deliver high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair wooden structures such as doors, windows, furniture, partitions, and frameworks
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements
Install fixtures such as cabinets, shelves, and fittings
Repair damaged wooden structures and replace defective parts
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and structural integrity of installations
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times
Work collaboratively with other trades (electricians, plumbers, etc.) on projects
