3.0 QUALIFICATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum of a degree in Production/ Engineering or equivalent experience. Must have a minimum of 3 to 7 years of industrial experience. Preferred experience in profile extrusion manufacturing environment. Preferred working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, and MS Project software or equivalent. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to work well in a manufacturing environment with operators and other management teams.

1. PURPOSE:

• To provide the overall coordination and supervision of factory activities of the company

 

1. DUTIES:

 

• Assist Research and Development in the factory, setup and implementation of equipment’s, products and process trials.


• Support manufacturing through the initiation and implementation of continuous process improvement.


• Coordinate the implementation of significant process modifications and the use of new raw materials.


• Initiate and develop ideas for significant process and raw material improvements.


• Assure all process and/or raw material changes are validated before implementation.


• Establish, set up, implement and report on specific projects assigned throughout the factory.


• Provide technical support to customers, if needed, to troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with products manufactured in the factory.


• Maintain excellent communication with team members.


• Exhibit a high level of visibility in the manufacturing areas and hands-on approach.


• Proactively build strong teamwork approach with factory personnel, technical counterparts and outside vendors.


• Implement and Practice good project management and cost control.


• Assist the Department Managers in supervising and managing the various section/Departments.


• Assist in the disassembly and assembly of new equipment’s, including inspection of its components before assembling.


• Understand the technical aspects of equipment setups.


• Train and follow up with Lead Operators and Machine Operators to ensure they have the required knowledge and skills to perform their assigned duties.


• Ensure the implementation of best safety practices in the factory.


• Fill in for leads and/or supervisors on their shifts if the need arises.

• Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications


• Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met


• Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers


• Investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety


• Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards on both national and international levels


• Determining training needs of direct reports.


• Record, analyze and distribute statistical information at management meetings.


• Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards and systems for manufacturing products


• Prepare and adhere to budget.
