Job Position: Production Manager

Location: Accra, Ghana

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in managing production teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring quality control.

Key Objectives

· Lead, manage and motivate production staff to ensure high levels of performance to achieve production targets

· Implement and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines

· Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of products

· Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety, health, environmental regulatory requirements

· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment

· Ensure that all production equipment are properly maintained and serviced

· Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure that production meets customer needs

· Streamline factory operation, reduce cost, minimize waste to improve productivity and profitability.

· Process improvements: Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement in production work flow.

· Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any problem during the production process.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Must have a thorough understanding of the wood industry, production processes and quality control principles

· Proven ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.

· Proven track record of successful project management

· Strong IT skills

· Keen eye for detail

· Experience with ISO and other quality management systems

Minimum Educational Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Production Management, or related field with at least five years post qualification experience.
