Description
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in coordinating and executing all aspects of construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all site works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction processes, including AutoCAD, structural design, plumbing, electrical systems, and tiling, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Help coordinate activities across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, tiling) to ensure seamless integration and workflow on site.
2. Site Supervision:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work, reporting any issues to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
3. Design Support:
- Utilize AutoCAD to assist in the creation and modification of detailed drawings and plans.
- Support the review of structural designs and ensure they meet project specifications.
4. Documentation Management:
- Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports and presentations for stakeholders.
5. Quality Control:
- Support the implementation of quality assurance processes, conducting inspections to verify that work meets project standards.
- Identify and report defects or issues, coordinating with teams to implement corrective actions.
6. Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for subcontractors and vendors, facilitating clear communication and resolving any issues that arise.
- Assist in preparing and conducting meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss project updates and expectations.
7. Budget Tracking:
- Help monitor project budgets and track expenses, assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify cost-saving opportunities.
8. Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring that all project activities comply with local building codes and regulations.
- Support the procurement of necessary permits and scheduling inspections with local authorities.
