Job Summary:
The Head of HR is responsible for managing the overall human resources activities, acting as a liaison between the General Manager and employees to ensure smooth communication and prompt resolution of HR-related queries. This role involves supporting branch HR activities, developing, and coordinating HR policies, procedures, and relevant documentation to drive efficiency and compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Management
Develop, implement, and evaluate HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
Enhance the organization's HR functions by planning, implementing, and assessing employee relations policies and programs.
Maintain the company’s work structure by updating job descriptions and job requirements for all positions.
Manage the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Support business growth through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of employees.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that promotes high performance and continuous improvement.
Monitor and ensure HR compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Maintain historical HR records by designing an efficient filing and retrieval system.
Oversee recruitment and selection processes to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent.
Develop and implement succession planning and career development programs.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
Maintain and update the company’s pay structure and benefits programs.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
Manage the processing of employment permits for expatriate employees while ensuring compliance with relevant immigration laws.
Conduct annual salary surveys to maintain competitive compensation structures.
Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Training & Development
Assess training needs and design training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
Organize employee development programs, workshops, and mentorship initiatives.
Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as needed to meet business objectives.
Employee Relations & Workplace Environment
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters effectively.
Promote a positive work culture by nurturing an engaging and inclusive environment.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity regarding employee and company information.
Ensure smooth conflict resolution and foster open communication within the organization.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance
Oversee the HSE function with direct reporting from the HSE Manager.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and statutory obligations.
Support the HSE Manager in investigating accidents, incidents, and hazards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all employees adhere to established HSE standards.
Reporting & Decision Support
Provide senior management with HR metrics and reports for decision-making.
Develop and track key HR performance indicators and benchmarks.
Advise management on HR best practices, emerging trends, and policy improvements.
Collaborate with departmental heads to align HR strategies with business goals.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
Proven 5+ years of experience in Labor and Employee Relations.
In-depth knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience in conducting salary surveys and workforce analytics.
Strategic mindset with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships at all organizational levels.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
