Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business related field;
• MBA/master’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus;
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CMA)
• Proven experience of 10+ years in financial leadership roles, with a substantial focus on costing within manufacturing or related industries.
• Experience in efficiently managing audit processes.
• Expertise in cost analysis methodologies, variance analysis, and cost optimization strategies.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with IFRS and its application in financial reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations and their impact on financial operations.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Description
- Develop and execute financial strategies, policies, and protocols to align with the company's strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Oversee all aspects of financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, job costing, inventory, receivables, and payables, resulting in precise financial reporting.
- Direct inventory management activities, encompassing control, forecasting, and reconciliation processes.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports adhering to IFRS and Ghanaian tax regulations, fostering transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to derive actionable insights, facilitating informed decision-making and enhancing financial performance.
- Manage the company's accounting systems, from selection and implementation to ongoing maintenance, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, cultivating a culture of excellence and fostering professional growth.
- Develop the annual budget and conduct ongoing financial forecasting to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Conduct in-depth cost analyses, variance assessments, and cost allocation studies to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with operational teams to implement costing strategies that drive growth, optimize efficiency, and improve profitability.
- Oversee cash flow management, financial risk assessment, and ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting practices.
