1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or a related field.
2. Minimum of five (5) years in credit assessment, loan processing, or risk management.
3. Strong knowledge of credit risk models, financial analysis, and lending regulations.
4. Ability to assess financial statements, credit scores, and debt ratios.
5. Experience with Ziglio banking software and Microsoft Excel
6. Competence in evaluating loan risks and making credit decisions.
7. Ensuring accuracy in financial records and loan documentation.
8. Strong verbal and written skills for client interactions and report writing.
9. Ability to handle overdue loans and negotiate repayment plans.
10. Familiarity with local and international financial laws affecting credit and lending
11. Ability to build trust and maintain relationships with clients.
12. High level of integrity and professionalism in handling financial transactions.
13. Ability to handle multiple loan applications and meet deadlines efficiently

Description
A reputable Tier 2 Non Bank Financial Institutions in seeking to employ a qualified and an experience Credit and Risk expert to supervise and control operations in their credit department.
The candidate will be esponsible for the following:
- Responsible for the overall performance of the credit operations.
- Control and direct loan processes of the organization by ensuring all loans certify the credit policy before loan appraisal and disbursement.
- Must submit periodic (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, etc) credit reports to management and plans to achieve set monthly target.
- Must ensures strict adherence to all credit processes including various pre disbursement searches and registration of assets and also submit all credit reports to BoG collateral registry, various credit bureaus and all bodies credit information are to be send.
- Ensures 100% loan repayment and compliance with credit policies and procedures.
- Ensures loans approved by the credit committee have been disbursed to the customers on time.
- Strategically come out with ways of recovering all loans in default and ensure such loans are recovered or make suggestions to management on how to handle such loans.
- Must certify all payment collected by credit staffs before such payments are handed over to the cashier.
- Supervise and monitor the activities of all credit staff in order to achieve maximum efficiency and productive results.
- Ensures that all regulatory reports are submitted periodically and timely.
- Must enforce non-acceptance of gift in any form from client and/or their relations.
- Ensures that new clients are properly oriented and trained in accordance with the company’s products and policies.
- Must submit to management the strategic growth plan for the department annually.
- Liaise with the Head of Business to drive business scales and service performance for the achievement of yearly planned operational goals and objectives.
- Champion the culture of change needed to re-enforce consistent sales by identifying new market for business.
- Submit plan for staff growth to head of business for smooth running of the department.
- Ensure he/she and all staff under his department meet their assigned monthly deposit target.
- Any other assigned duties by the head of business operations.
