Job Title: Admissions Manager
Location: Nigeria
Reporting to: Director of Admissions, Academic City
Position Summary:
The Admissions Manager will play a critical role in driving the enrollment of students from Nigeria into Academic City University. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and execution of recruitment efforts to meet enrollment targets. The Manager will lead the admissions team, build partnerships, and oversee marketing and outreach initiatives while ensuring a high-quality experience for prospective students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and execute a regional admissions strategy for Nigeria aligned with the university’s goals.
- Lead the admissions team in Nigeria, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to set annual recruitment goals and strategies.
- Recruitment and Outreach
- Design and implement innovative student recruitment initiatives targeting Nigerian students.
- Establish relationships with high schools, educational consultants, and community organizations to drive enrollment.
- Represent Academic City at recruitment events, education fairs, and high school visits across Nigeria.
- Marketing and Communication
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored promotional materials for the Nigerian market.
- Leverage social media, digital platforms, and local networks to raise awareness of Academic City.
- Develop and maintain consistent communication with prospective students, parents, and partners.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Track and analyze recruitment data to measure success and optimize strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports on recruitment performance, trends, and challenges for the Director of Admissions.
- Team Management and Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise admissions counselors to build a high-performing team.
- Conduct regular evaluations and provide development opportunities for team members.
- Compliance and Policy Management
- Ensure that admissions practices adhere to university policies, accreditation standards, and legal requirements.
- Act as the university’s liaison with the Nigerian Ministry of Education, facilitating approvals, partnerships, and compliance with local education regulations.
- Oversee and facilitate the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) process for Nigerian students, ensuring smooth integration and compliance.
- Stay updated on regional trends, policies, and regulations in education that may impact recruitment and admissions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: 7-10 years in student recruitment, admissions, or related fields, preferably with international education experience. Nigeria experience is a must.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian education system and student recruitment practices.
- Strong experience with CRM systems.
