The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has tasked the country’s graduates to strive for excellence in the pursuit of national development.
He said it was important for them to bring their expertise to bear if the country intended to achieve accelerated growth.
According to him graduates, per their training were equipped with the relevant knowledge and leadership skills which required them to find an antidote to the society’s recurring development challenges. “With perseverance and hard work, you can achieve greatness,” he emphasised.

President Akufo-Addo made the call when he addressed the fifth session of the 16th graduation ceremony of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in Accra yesterday.
In all, about 5, 608 students graduated at this year’s ceremony, including 1, 120 postgraduate students.
The programme coincided with the inauguration of a 10-storey edifice constructed from the internally-generated funds of the University.
The facility has lecture halls, offices and an auditorium to enhance administrative and academic work.
President Nana Akufo-Addo lauded the University for remaining committed to its vision and mission, working assiduously to shape the minds of the country’s future leaders.
“UPSA is one of Ghana’s institutions of higher learning that has become synonymous with academic excellence,” he elaborated.
