Express Aid Foundation has extended a generous hand of support to the Idi Yompo Widows and Elderly Club, a charitable initiative under the Abeiku Okai Ministries.
At a heartfelt ceremony held at the Anathallo Grace Chapel in Senya Beraku in the Central Region, the founder of the foundation, Jullien Kwasi Parry, led a team of members to present assorted items including rice, cooking oil, canned tomatoes, clothing and drinks to the club.
“Our vision is to bring hope to humanity by supporting and uplifting the vulnerable and needy in society. Reaching out to the widows in Senya Beraku aligns perfectly with our purpose,” he said.
The Idi Yompo Widows and Elderly Club, led by Rev. Abeiku Okai, popularly known as BIC, consists of not less than 50 members, including a visually impaired man and several aged women with physical ailments.
The club serves as a support network for widows across the community, providing them with ongoing assistance and fostering a sense of belonging.
In his response, Rev. Okai expressed deep gratitude to the Express Aid Foundation for its benevolence.
He further shared his vision for the club, stating that “We aim to establish a sustainable business for the widows, enabling them to support themselves in meaningful ways. I also encourage
NGOs and kind-hearted individuals to consider celebrating Christmas and birthdays with the widows.”
The President of the club, Comfort Bonney, conveyed appreciation on behalf of the members, thanking Express Aid Foundation for their timely and thoughtful gesture.
