At the prestigious Sustainability and Social Impact Awards ceremony, the company received the Partnership and Collaboration Award cementing its reputation as a beacon of corporate social responsibility in Ghana.

The award celebrates GSWL's impactful collaborations with key institutions, including the Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Service, and GIZ which have resulted in transformative projects in health and well-being across 11 communities, Akyempim, Akosombo, Nsadweso, Kubekro, Juabeng, Accra Town, Ateiku, Togbekrom, Old Subri, Odumasi and Essunminamu within the company's catchment area.

Over the past year, GSWL has invested more than $3 million into initiatives addressing critical health and social needs.

The interventions include the provision of essential medical resources to health facilities, significantly improving healthcare delivery in the communities.

Enrollment of 7,500 pupils and community members onto the National Health Insurance Scheme, ensuring access to affordable healthcare.

Additionally, strengthening the capacity of local health systems by training health professionals in maternal-child health and infection prevention, distribution of sanitary pads to students alongside educating them.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, a senior manager from GSWL, Mr Nathaniel Quaw expressed the company's pride in receiving the accolade, stating: "This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to increasing the economic and health resilience of our community members against future pandemics and health challenges.

The projects we choose to implement reflect this dedication, and we are thrilled to see the tangible impacts these initiatives are having on the lives of the people in our catchment communities."

Mr Quaw acknowledged the critical role of GSWL's partners in achieving these milestones.
