Executive Director of Dreams FC Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku has officially declared his intention to contest for the Presidency of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Announcing his decision in a video post on his official Facebook page today, Mr Okraku said his conviction to contest the poll when it is opened was further enhanced during a consultation with football stakeholders where it became evident that he had the qualities required to be the President of the Ghana FA.
He said the vision for his administration will be to create wealth for everyone involved in Ghana football.
He stated: "Fellow members of the football family, after a thorough process of deliberations, discussions, engagements, and consultations with the various stakeholders of our industry. I have decided to put myself forward to contest the leadership of the Ghana Football Association when the process officially opens.
"Colleagues, my conviction to contest the upcoming elections was further enhanced during the period of consultations with the various stakeholders which made it evident that the qualities I possess is exactly what our people have been yearning for as we strive to move our industry to the next level at this particular point in time".
Aims
The former GFA Executive Committee member said his campaign would demonstrate his vision to create wealth for everyone involved in Ghana football.
Mr Oraku added he had the skillset and corporate governance mindset to drive a new image for a transparent and communication friendly GFA.
"My ultimate aim, obviously, is to ensure that all key players in our industry get a fair share of the enormous global wealth of association football, that every person connected to the beautiful game reap their rightful dues for their unending efforts and enormous investments...
"The time has come for us to make our football great again. Indeed, it is an unmissable opportunity. An opportunity for us to come together and entrust the leadership of our football into a competent and efficient hands".
