World's number one air conditioning company Daikin has partnered Fox Cooling Group-Ghana, a leader in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services in Africa.
Speaking at a presentation ceremony held at Fox Cooling Group's Accra showroom, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Fox Cooling Group, Mr El Achkar Slaible Christian, said that protecting Ghana's environment was of utmost importance to the company.
He stated that the nation's future was based on how energy efficient we were as a people.
Mr. Christian emphasized that Fox Cooling Group would rely on Ghana's Custom Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) and the Energy Commission to prevent parallel importation.
"Our full trust is in Ghana's institutions, we ourselves cannot fight the parallel market but we trust them to fight imitations" he said.
Speaking on the quality of their work, he stated that Fox Cooling has been in the market for over 20 years with products lasting about 15 to 20 years
"We always tropicalize and we have regular meetings and updates on the state of the climate to produce suitable products for the local market" he added.
Mr. Masaaki Miyaatake CEO for Daikin said that they were happy to introduce their latest and highly efficient product.
He said that after listening to feedback from the market, Daikin had introduced proper solutions that would help to meet the needs of customers.
"Our mission is to also provide skills to every country, especially their young engineers to create healthy markets. Our task is to also provide knowhow for sustainable markets" Mr Miyatake added.
Managing Director for Fox Cooling Group Mr. Mario Yazbeck, noted that Fox Cooling would serve as official distributors of Daikin products in the country.
He said that aside distribution, they would also offer installation and after sales services for customers.
'Daikin is a top end quality product with Japanese technology and we are proud to be part of their team".
"We are looking for forward to more expansion in the market" he stated.
"We will work to get more market share in Ghana and Ivory Coast. Our target is to cover a bigger part of the market with products not profits" Mr. Mario said.
Mr. Robert Kagabo, General Manager -Africa Sales at Daikin Middle East and Africa said that they had over 322 subsidiaries, US27.8billion in sales in 2021 and close to 90, 000 employees in Middle East and Africa.
He disclosed that their Air Conditioning solutions were energy efficient, sustainable and unique for every climate.
Their list of ongoing projects in Ghana include a 250 bed regional hospital in Kumasi, a 60 bed regional hospital in Konongo, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCCA) Head Office.
Accomplished products projects by Daikin also includes include the Flag Staff House, Ghana Airport Cargo Center and Ecobank Ghana Head Office in Accra.
CEO of Meridian Port, Mr Mohamed Samara commended Daikin for quality and reliability. He noted that Meridian Port finds itself in a rough environment and had relied on Daikin products since 2007 .
Mr Samara said partnering with Fox Cooling was the best thing as they understood the terrain and customized products to their needs.
Fox Cooling is ISO certified and present in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroun, Benin, Burkina Faso, Senegal, the United Kingdom and Italy.
Their services include Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing.
Daikin has expanded its business focused primarily on air-conditioning to over 160 countries globally.
