The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante-Bekwai, Mr Joe Osei-Wusu, has completed a tour of almost all the 117 communities in the constituency, to thank the electorate for the support given him during the last general elections.
Among the latest communities visited last Sunday included Dominase, Senfi, Adjamesu, Poano, Huntado, Akyeremade, Edwenasi, Koniyaw, Kotwia and Adwumasa.
Addressing the chiefs and people at separate meetings, Mr Osei-Wusu announced that the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reinstated him after the elections and he was now a full member of the Party.
Mr Osei-Wusu was suspended from the NPP on his stand to contest as an independent parliamentary candidate, where he defeated the incumbent NPP candidate, Mr Ignatius Kofi Poku Adusei in the elections.
The MP disclosed that he would soon open a secretariat at Bekwai where he would collate the concerns and needs of the people for redress.
He said as an MP, he would address the concerns of the people irrespective of their political affiliation, and assured that by the end of his four-year term, majority of his campaign promises would be honoured.
Mr Osei-Wusu pledged to collaborate effectively with the Municipal Assembly in its efforts to bring more developments to the area.
He expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the traditional rulers for their support and encouragement during the election campaigns.
