The Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs (MOWAC) on Wednesday appealed to drivers to exercise caution, especially during the foggy harmattan season and apply all the precautions to ensure the safe arrival of passengers to their destinations.
In a statement signed by Mrs Juliana Azumah-Mensah, the Sector Minister said, “We wish to appeal to the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) to step-up their efforts at ensuring safety on the roads.
“The loss of valuable human lives through avoidable road accidents is unacceptable and the situation calls for a concerted effort by all stakeholders to curb the menace,” it added.
