Role / Duties:
Supplier selection
Identifying potential suppliers, assessing them, and selecting the best ones based on quality, cost, and reliability
Negotiating contracts
Collaborating with vendors to negotiate terms and conditions, and ensuring contracts are executed and adhered to
Managing orders
Generating and issuing purchase orders, and monitoring their status to ensure timely delivery
Maintaining records
Keeping accurate records of procurement activities, including documents, databases, and inventories
Ensuring compliance
Ensuring that procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational policies
Managing supplier relationships
Maintaining good supplier relations, and continuously evaluating supplier performance
Working with stakeholders
Working with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements
Maintaining contracts
Maintaining contracts with vendors, and drafting and reviewing procurement contracts and agreements
