Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop appropriate procurement policies and processes based on principles and precedencies as basis for management control to facilitate coordination across the company
· Develop appropriate procedures relating to requisitioning, ordering, expediting, receiving, inspecting, storing and payment of goods and services and those relating to disposal of unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and plant items in tandem with developing and managing company level procurement agreements with various suppliers
· Employ efficient and effective purchasing practices within acceptable time limits in conformity with company goals and objectives
· Work with other units to guarantee availability (quantity and quality) of core product range and supplies
· Prepare and submit monthly procurement reports, supervise the day-to-day procurement operations and ensure procurement processes are implemented as designated and comply with established laws, standards and procedures
· Provide leadership, direction, organize and supervise accurate stock and inventory take at the end of every month in the warehouses.
· Submit bi-weekly documentation or reports to Management on stock availability, general stock request, specific customer requirements for procurement approval
· Provide intelligence information regarding economic, legislation, political, technological and other factors that may influence cost and availability of supplies.
· Employ appropriate information technology to reduce routine clerical activities and make timely and efficient decisions.
· Maintain an accurate filing system of general administrative documentation, proposals, tender journals and catalogues.
· Ensure all goods supplied are inputted into the system.
· Undertake any other duties periodically assigned by Management
