MINIMUM QUALIFICATION • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent in Electro Mechanical, Plants, from a four-year college or technical school in Mechanical/Electronic engineering, or a related field. • Master in Engineering will be added advantage. • Minimum of 5 years related engineering experience with specific experience in Plant management and electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. • Experience in a manufacturing or waste processing environment will be added advantage. • Working knowledge of ISO standards operations and documentation. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings and wire lists.

JOB PURPOSE:

The successful applicant will be in charge of the daily running of a plant and shall be responsible for both mechanic and electronic control devices of the plant, evaluation of operational systems, and recommendations where necessary to eliminate causes of malfunctions which will result in downtimes. The role reports to the General Manager.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Directs and coordinates operations support, documents, and tests activities to ensure compliance with specifications, and plant requirements.


• Prepares and communicates specifications for the purchase of material, plant spare parts, and other equipment/tooling when necessary.


• Prepares and verifies technical specifications to ensure that installation and operations conform to standard requirements.


• Directs field testing of electronics and mechanic systems before operations daily.


• Responsible for the preparation of estimates, cost reports, forecasts, schedules, mechanic/electronic account codes, budgets, and change orders.


• Responsible for preparing electronic/mechanical reports including obtaining historical data and information.


• Assists in preparing and maintaining the technical departmental policies, procedures, and manuals.
