a) Minimum Education & Experience:
• University Degree; Economics, Social Sciences or Human Resources qualification preferred.
• Min. 2 years of experience in Human Resources covering T&OE, C&B, Employee & Labour Relations and general HR functions
• Leadership and management experience.
• PC knowledge (MS Office)
• Deep understanding of organizational and individual development
• Excellent knowledge/practice of Business Partnering model
• Ability to use experience and skills to identify and exploit key drivers of organizational performance
• Good knowledge of external employment and development trends, labour markets and competitors

Description
A reputable media organisation in Accra is looking for an HR Advisor.
Job Purpose:
To contribute to building employee and organization excellence by ensuring optimal flexibility in resource allocation and planning, administration, development and retention in order to support business needs of the organization. Facilitate organizational capabilities, continuous improvement culture, commitment and performance in line with the business strategy
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide support and critical advice to HRBP on all people related issues.
- In consultation with the HRBP, provide advice to line management on organizational structure and related issues.
- Facilitate the use of talent management & leadership/management development tools and communicate talent management & leadership principles and strategies among team members.
- Assist in the monitoring of HR compliance issues and undertake general people management related functions.
- Facilitate manpower planning. Monitor headcount and ensure consistency in grading of positions.
- Assist in the application of the performance management system and provide ongoing support to line management and team members to enable appropriate rewards and sanctions.
- Contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices.
- Provide effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR Business Partnering to support organizational needs.
- Where appropriate, provide information and advice on Human Resources issues to team members and ensure effective communication with all team members; maintain ethical and transparent working relationships.
- Organization Changes - Provide support to HRBP in preparing and implementing organization changes. Identify needs for improvement within the existing organization and participate in organizational restructuring programs together with line management.
- Participate in HR projects as required, including research and preparation of documents for HRBP’s review, and implement recommendations.
- Contribute to workplace culture through the development, review and promotion of Core Values and Code of Conduct.
- Assist line managers in the development of position descriptions for specified Business Units and ensure appropriate review and update of same.
- Create and manage programs aimed at retaining valuable employees, such as professional development opportunities, mentoring programs, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Perform exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees. Analyze this feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Track and report retention metrics to senior management. Provide recommendations based on data analysis.
