Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive boarding environment aligned with school policies.
Provide pastoral support and act in loco parentis for boarders throughout the academic term.
Build strong, supportive relationships with students and maintain open communication with parents.
Coordinate student arrivals and departures, including orientation for new borders.
Monitor students’ well-being and address concerns appropriately in collaboration with school counselors.
Ensure students adhere to boarding routines and behavioral expectations.
Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Conduct regular checks of student rooms and common areas for safety and hygiene.
Respond promptly and appropriately to health or safety incidents.
Liaise with the school nurse and counselor to address medical and emotional needs.
Supervise and support the boarding house team (including domestic staff), ensuring effective coverage and conduct.
Schedule and participate in weekday and weekend duties, including overnight supervision.
Organize and supervise weekend activities and off-campus trips, ensuring student safety.
Maintain accurate records related to student conduct, incidents, and daily routines.
Coordinate student arrivals, departures, exeats, and transportation logistics.
Schedule and oversee staff duty rosters and ensure appropriate supervision at all times.
Liaise with the Boarding house coordinator and boarding house team to organize enrichment and recreational activities that support the social development of boarders.
Liaise with the Boarding House Coordinator to supervise off-site trips and ensure relevant risk assessments are completed.
Support the integration of new borders through orientation and mentoring programs
Foster a boarding culture that promotes student independence, responsibility, and character development.
Support academic progress by monitoring study routines and liaising with teaching staff.
Be available to students for guidance and encouragement throughout their stay in the house.
Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding student welfare and conduct.
Respond promptly and appropriately to parent queries or concerns about boarding matters.
Provide feedback on student life and wellbeing during official school reporting periods
