Responsibilities:
● Financial Record Keeping:
○ Accurately record and classify financial transactions in the appropriate accounts.
○ Process invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial documents in a timely
manner.
○ Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic financial records.
○ Ensure all transactions are properly supported with relevant documentation.
● Accounts Payable and Receivable:
○ Manage accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices, preparing
payment vouchers, and ensuring timely payments.
○ Manage accounts receivable, including issuing customer invoices, tracking
payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
○ Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
● Bank and Cash Management:
○ Prepare bank deposits and ensure proper recording of cash receipts.
○ Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
○ Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
● Financial Reporting and Analysis:
○ Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
○ Prepare account reconciliations, including bank, accounts receivable, and accounts
payable.
○ Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends and variances.
● Compliance and Internal Controls:
○ Adhere to the organization's financial policies and procedures.
○ Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and tax laws in Ghana.
○ Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and
support.
● Communication and Collaboration:
○ Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and employees regarding financial
matters.
○ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial
information flow.
○ Maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks and
regulatory bodies.
● General Administrative Support:
○ Provide general administrative and clerical support to the finance department as
needed.
○ Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
○ Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
