EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of a BSc in Logistics Management, any other relevant qualification
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning and inventory management.
• Must have experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Must have proven experience as a production planner

Description
Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking to hire a competent individual for the role of Planning and Inventory Lead.
ROLE PROFILE
The selected candidate will be responsible for supply planning, collaborating with sales to align on demand forecasts and ensure the delivery of projected supply targets to meet customer needs. He/she will work closely with manufacturing to ensure adherence to the supply plan and oversee efficient inventory management to optimize working capital.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create the manufacturing schedule and monitor it throughout the month to ensure on-time delivery of products for sales
- Engage the Sales team and facilitate Demand planning meetings
- Liaise with Production Managers to ensure that the weekly supply plan is achieved.
- Ensure efficient use of resources through production scheduling
- Monitor inventory levels (including safety stock levels)
- Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
- Continuously improving forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches and ensuring adherence
- Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy
- Liaise with the Warehouse officers to ensure on-time submission of status reports of raw materials or project management finished goods stocks for effective tracking
- Track Finished Goods, raw materials or project management (RM/PM) Stocks, and activate requests for RM/PM replenishment
- Track to ensure raw materials and project management (RM/PM) materials availability for supply planning
- Track the Shelf life of Finished Goods, and Raw Materials or Project Management (RM/PM) stocks and submit bi-weekly reports
- Provide support services to Territory warehouse officers on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data processing.
- Coordinate reconciliation of finished goods and Raw Materials/Product Management (RM/PM) stocks in Net Asset Value (NAV)
- Liaise with Production, Procurement, and Finance to reconcile inventory and manufacturing transactions in NAV
- Track Finished Goods, RM/PM Stocks value, and submit monthly reports
- Track Finished Goods Stocks and submit weekly Report
- Prepare and submit monthly supply and sales scorecard report
- Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (inventory plan vs. targets).
- Perform any other duties that will be assigned by the planning and supply manager
- Analyse back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
- Constant engagements with the sales operations manager and production managers on weekly plans.
- Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and production managers on the supply plan
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of information, and work materials between warehouse and production according to production shipment schedules and capacity leveling.
