Purpose of the Job
Responsible for providing daily technical support and troubleshooting of all computer systems with consideration to the needs and requirements of the project.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Run an asset management program to receive, identify, input into system and maintain for duration of the project e.g. medical equipment, beds. 2. Ensure the Inventory Reporting and Management Database is properly secured and routinely backed up. Receive all medical goods and input into inventory, secured and maintain the minimum required levels of stock. 3. Follow Project Manager’s directions at all times. 4. Ensure all IT systems are maintained, running and offer support to staff. 5. PC Repairs. 6. Windows Operating Systems trouble shooting. 7. Good customer support skills. 8. Able to listen and troubleshoot on the spot.
Challenges
• Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines. • Able and willing to work a six-day work week.
Knowledge and Experience
• Bachelors degree in IT or related field. • A minimum of 3 years professional experience in IT, MS Access Database and asset management. • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP trouble shooting on all types of network-based devices. • Knowledge of switches, network cabling in regard to Cat 5 – Cat 6 – RJ45 and 568A/B colour coding of conductors. • Knowledge of setting up routers to include Virtual Local Area Networks and manage bandwidth allocation to each VLAN. • Experience in handling DHCP servers, IP Pools, DNS, Default gateway and Subnet masking. • Experience in VSAT installation, setup, pointing, tuning and maintaining of RG connectors. • Knowledge of cloud Based Office 365 setup and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of VOIP for Skype use and other SIP based applications. • Strong time management skills and attention to detail • Understanding of printers and servicing the same. • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a multi-cultural environment
