Qualifications
• B.Sc. in any technology or business related discipline such as Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Studies or any other science/engineering discipline
• An MSc. Information Technology/MBA is an added advantage
• A professional certification is an added advantage
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IT management with at least 7 years in a senior management role
• Candidate must have a proven track record of the following
• Driving and defining complex IT strategy.
• Strong technological background
• Budgetary experience
• Experience of managing multiple IT disciplines

Description
Organisational/Departmental Leadership
- Participate with the Regional Director in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organisation;
- Act as a professional advisor to the Country Director on all aspects of the organisation's activities;
- Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are met;
- Agree on service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met;
- Direct, attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops to keep up to date with Information Technology issues;
Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with informational intensive/advanced industries, communities and technology vendors to advance the enterprise's digital capabilities;
- Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organisations to help achieve the goals of the organization
Strategy Development
- Assess external digital opportunities and threats as key inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy given digital realities;
- Work closely with institutional partners to define strategic priorities for the Regional Operations – Infrastructure and to align resources, system analysis, technology solutions for optimum service delivery by the unit;
- Develop strategic and tactical recommendations for Regional Operations - Infrastructure;
- Analyse current digital capabilities and support the development of the digital product(s) roadmap for different markets;
Solutions Design and Delivery
- Lead the day to day operations for the Regional Operations - Infrastructure ;
- Partner with IT Consulting, Product Development, Marketing and other groups in a cross-functional team to develop new products and bring them to market
- Teams with product development to deliver high quality products.
- Performs competitive analysis and conducts market research. Maintains updated view of key competitive changes;
Team Building and Performance Management
- Coach, develop and manage direct reports to ensure all projects are delivered on time and with the highest quality, along with managing the budgetary responsibilities of the team;
- Monitor staff performances and encourage development within the team;
- Promote a climate of accountability, openness, collaboration and innovation.
- Provide direction and support to members of the extended team
- Develop and report key performance indicators for the unit to the Country Director.
- Any other responsibility assigned by management
- Number of new stakeholder relationships brokered (minimum of ten companies)
- Achieve Sales Target in the Region for Infrastructure and related Solutions
- Staff appraisal ratings
- Revenue generated per Infrastructure sub-units.
