Education/Experience
1. B.Sc. in Engineering: Mechanical Engineer preferred for Hardware TSP and Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering preferred for Controls/Topsides, Vocational Technical Training or equivalent preferred
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in field service technician role
Required Interpersonal Skills:
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential to effectively teach what they know to other employees.
2. Able to effectively communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner, quickly grasping the essential information that must be conveyed and responding well to difficult questions.
Required Technical Skills And/Or Problem-Solving Skills:
1. Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following fields: electrical; subsea equipment; hydraulics equipment; mechanical equipment and tools; structural steel
2. Ability to read and understand drawings.
3. Able to perform moderate complex calculations.
4. Ability to understand, troubleshoot, explain and teach others about technical tools and instruments required to perform duties
5. Knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures
Required Managerial Skills:
1. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is important.
2. Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching, and respond appropriately
3. Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts with ability to persuade, influence and facilitate problem resolution

Description
Key Responsibilities
- Installs, tests and repairs new and reworked Client’s products (equipment and tools)
- Handles customer comments, requests and complaints
- Provides sales support ensuring the customer is fully informed of all aspects of the job
- Completes Field Service Orders (FSO) and Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT), and accountable for the timely submission of these and other revenue generating documents
- Assures all quality issues and documentation (equipment and procedural defects) is communicated and sent back to Service Management
- Completes field documentation after the completion of each service job.
- Provides “Project Support” as required, handles project issues as they arise which eliminates downtime
- Prepares and completes safety related documentation. Pursues safe work practices.
- Leads others in completing tasks in accordance with procedures and applicable codes and/or standards
- May serve as the on-site supervisor to the field service crew and for reporting back to Service management
- Assists as needed with the development of procedural requirements for current and future jobs
