Production & Processing Plant Maintenance – Mechanical Bias:
1. Carry out planned preventive maintenance to mechanical systems and components of production
and processing plants.
2. Attend to scheduled shutdown maintenance and provide servicing to mechanical systems and
equipment e.g. pasteurisers, homogenisers, separators, heat exchangers, mixers, fillers, packers,
palletisers, labellers, storage/holding tanks, conveyors, gear boxes, valve and pumps, blow moulding,
injection moulding, bakery machinery and equipment, etc.
3. Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to mechanical systems and components.
4. Request for suitable PTW as required e.g. entry into confined spaces, breaking into pressurized
lines, entry into unguarded machines, hot work, etc.
5. Apply LOTO procedures and other isolation techniques
Production & Processing Plant Maintenance – Electrical Bias:
1. Carry out planned preventive maintenance to electrical systems and components of production and
processing plants.
2. Attend to scheduled shutdown maintenance and provide servicing to electrical systems and
equipment e.g. electrical motors, electrical panels, switches and relays, control panels, electrical
lines/harnesses
3. Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to electrical systems and components.
4. Request for appropriate PTW and suitable as required e.g. entry into confined spaces, entry into
unguarded machines, work on energized electrical panels, etc.
5. Apply LOTO procedures and other isolation techniques
Refrigeration Maintenance:
1. Carry out planned preventive maintenance to ammonia refrigeration plants.
2. Attend to scheduled shutdown maintenance and provide servicing to refrigeration systems and
components e.g. gas compressors, condensers, evaporators, electrical controls, etc
3. Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to ammonia refrigeration systems and components.
4. Request for appropriate/suitable PTW as required e.g. working at height, hot work, etc.
Plant Utilities Mechanical Services:
1. Carry out planned preventive maintenance to mechanical systems and components on utility
machinery, facilities and sundry equipment.
2. Attend to scheduled shutdown maintenance and provide servicing to mechanical systems and
equipment e.g. boilers, air compressor units, standby generating sets, hydraulic systems, pneumatic
systems, RO plants, deep well pumps, Crawford doors, LPG systems, reservoirs and components
3. Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to utility mechanical equipment.
4. Request for appropriate PTW and suitable as required e.g. entry into confined spaces, entry into
unguarded machines, working at height, hot work, heavy lift, etc.
5. Apply LOTO procedures and other isolation techniques
Plant Utilities Electrical Services:
1. Carry out planned preventive maintenance to electrical systems and components on utility
machinery, facilities and sundry equipment.
2. Attend to scheduled shutdown maintenance and provide servicing to electrical systems and
equipment
3. Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to utility electrical HV/MV equipment.
6. Request for appropriate PTW and suitable as required e.g. entry into confined spaces, entry into
unguarded machines, work on energized electrical panels, HV/MV, etc.
4. Apply LOTO procedures and other isolation techniques
Automation Maintenance:
1. Carry out visual inspection of automation / instruments and components and service as necessary.
2. Perform routine diagnostic inspection on automation systems, monitor and isolate trouble and
perform repairs.
3. Perform installation and calibration of instrumentation, SCADA/HMI control and Electrical Systems.
4. Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical control systems, instrumentation/electronics,
programmable controllers, meters, generators, and hydraulics/pneumatics control systems.
5. Conduct maintenance on low voltage electrical equipment and related devices.
6. Respond to emergency calls / night calls / rest day calls for some automation urgent troubles and
issues.
7. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems on programmers, PLC, measuring/testing devices
8. Calibrate, align and test systems and components used to monitor plant processes
9. Perform working at height and enter confined spaces as the job requires to.
10. Apply LOTO and request for PTW as necessary.
11. Perform related duties.
Forklift Truck and other Material Handling Equipment Maintenance:
1. Carry out preventive maintenance servicing with forklift trucks (counter-balance truck, reach truck,
order picker, power stacker, etc).
2. Perform troubleshooting of faulty truck operation based on raised SAP PM Notifications.
3. Carry out daily inspection of forklift truck complement and service as required.
4. Assist the planning engineer in maintaining forklift truck inventory.
