Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring precise estimation and accurate measurement of concrete volumes to meet the specific requirements of clients' projects.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Measurements and Estimations:
- Perform detailed site measurements to calculate accurate concrete volumes required for projects.
- Prepare and verify concrete volume estimates to ensure compliance with client specifications.
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and site engineers to assess and confirm concrete requirements.
- Attend site meetings to align with project progress and resolve any discrepancies in measurements.
Quantities Take-Off:
- Work with the commercial team to interpret project requirements and prepare quantities take-off for concrete needs.
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare material estimates.
Onsite Supervision:
- Assist with on-site supervision during concrete placement to ensure measurement parameters and quality standards are adhered to.
- Monitor site activities to confirm compliance with agreed volumes and specifications.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, estimates, and site activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on project progress, including any deviations or additional volume requirements.
Other Duties:
Any other duties assigned by management.
