Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Quantity Surveyor will oversee cost estimation, contract administration, and measurement of concrete volumes to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Measurements and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct and validate detailed site measurements to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff on measurement techniques and volume assessments.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in measurement accuracy.
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Serve as the key liaison between clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to confirm concrete requirements.
- Attend project and site meetings to align expectations and address measurement-related discrepancies.
Onsite Supervision and Compliance:
- Oversee the on-site placement of concrete to verify compliance with approved volumes and quality standards.
- Monitor project execution to identify and address cost variations or material wastage.
- Provide technical support on-site to resolve volume estimation and measurement challenges.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Mentor and supervise Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors, fostering professional growth.
- Conduct training sessions on advanced quantity surveying techniques and industry best practices.
- Ensure effective teamwork and collaboration across project teams.
Other Duties:
- Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
