Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
● Proven experience as a chef with a focus on Indian cuisine.
● In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods.
● Ability to prepare a variety of Indian dishes from different regions (e.g., North Indian,
South Indian, etc.).
● Excellent understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
● Strong attention to detail and an eye for presentation.
● Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
● Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
● Formal culinary training or certification in Indian cuisine is a plus but not required.
● Experience in multi-cuisine preparation, including Ghanaian dishes, is an added
advantage.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Ghanaian chef who is proficient in preparing a wide range of Indian
dishes, including traditional curries, tandoori meals, biryanis, and Indian bread varieties. The
ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Indian spices, herbs, and culinary techniques,
while also being able to manage and operate in a busy kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
- Prepare authentic Indian meals, including curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, and Indian bread (naan, chapati, etc.).
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes, and food presentation according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Incorporate traditional Indian cooking methods such as tandoor, grilling, and slow-cooking techniques.
2. Menu Development:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef or restaurant management to develop and refine Indian food offerings.
- Introduce new dishes based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
3. Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and stored properly to maintain quality.
- Oversee the preparation and cooking processes to ensure food safety standards are adhered to.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Work with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination during service.
- Train junior kitchen staff in the preparation of Indian meals when required.
5. Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets the restaurant's standards.
- Handle customer feedback and make adjustments to dishes based on preferences.
6. Inventory and Supply Management:
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with the procurement team for the timely ordering of Indian spices, herbs, and ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
