Description
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Carry out all duties assigned by the executive Chef.
- Assist the chefs in preparing food items ensuring quality and presentation is in accordance with the expectation of the hotel’s Standard of performance (SOPs)
- Ensure kitchen work areas and equipment are cleaned, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene are of the highest standard. (pastry session)
- Carry out all required mise-en-place, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are spotlessly clean and adequate food ingredient supplies are obtained before service starts.
- Ensure all orders are prepared to the fullest satisfaction of the customer and in accordance with the required standards.
- Assist in any way with efficient running of the kitchen.
- Assist the Chef in ensuring that the control of the kitchen operating meets the expectations set.
- Always maintain the highest standards of appearance, personal hygiene and social skills, according to the Restaurant policies.
- Work in harmony with all kitchens, restaurant staff and management.
- Attend all training provided to you by the Restaurant.
- Participate and attend the Restaurants regular employee performance appraisals.
- Be familiar with the staff Handbook, House Rules, Fire evacuation procedures, Emergency, and security procedures.
- Attend Kitchen meetings as per schedule.
- Be fully Familiar with the kitchen /restaurant safety procedures.
- Available to work overtime when requested by management.
