• Minimum of HND/Degree certificate – Accounting/Finance (or equivalent).
• 3-5 years of previous experience in cashiering is required

• Strong numeracy skills and accuracy in handling cash.
• Good communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Ability to operate POS systems, basic computers, and calculators.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prevent errors.

Description
- Accurately process cash, mobile money, POS, and cheque payments from customers.
- Issue official receipts for transactions that he/she personally receives payments.
- Maintain proper float and reconcile daily cash collections with sales records.
- Deposit cash collections to the company’s designated bank account as directed.
- Ensure all credit sales are supported with duly signed company undertaking statements by both customer and sales representative.
- Verify that when a sales representative does not issue an undertaking, the invoice indicates the approving manager’s name and signature.
- Follow up with the approving manager for confirmation before processing such transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash books, receipts, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly cash reports to the accountant.
- Support periodic audits and financial reconciliations.
- Provide customers with courteous and professional service during transactions.
- Address payment-related queries and escalate unresolved issues to the accountant.
- Foster trust and integrity in all financial dealings.
- Adhere to the company’s financial and accounting policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal control procedures.
