Description
The Accounts National Service/Intern position is designed to provide hands-on experience in financial and accounting processes within a professional setting. The role supports the finance team in daily operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, and financial reporting. The intern will gain practical exposure to accounting systems, regulatory compliance, and internal financial procedures, while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the organisation’s financial operations.
Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Support in bank reconciliations and monitoring of petty cash and other payment systems.
- Input financial data into accounting software and assist in the preparation of journals and ledgers.
- Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with tracking accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Support internal audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to gather financial data and clarify discrepancies.
- Participate in financial analysis and budget monitoring activities as assigned.
- Perform other administrative and finance-related tasks as required by the supervisor.
