Second African Fiscal Policy Forum (Part One) - Hybrid Dialogue
The Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CoDA), in collaboration with its key partners on Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM), are co-organizing the first part of the Second African Fiscal Policy Forum under the theme, ‘Curbing Illicit Financial Flows from Africa and Accelerating Asset Recovery for Sustainable Development’. The hybrid dialogue will review and discuss emerging issues relating to IFFs, including how the aggressive activities of individuals and corporations continue to induce IFFs. It will also elaborate on complementary
measures that can be adapted by African governments to increase their domestic policy space.
Accordingly, this message serves to formally invite you to be a part of the event being held physically at the Sheraton Hotel, Addis Ababa and virtually via Zoom. Participants will include high-level officials from Ministries of Finance, African Central Banks, tax administrators, anti-corruption agencies, financial intelligence authorities, African regional organisations including the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), representatives of the private sector, civil society actors, subject matter experts and other relevant organisations working on IFFs.
It will take place on Thursday 01 December, 2022 from 03:00 to 06:00 PM (Addis Ababa Local Time). Kindly note the links to the event below as well as the attached documents. Participants who may wish to attend the meeting physically should indicate their interest in writing as spaces are limited.
