2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup winner Saddick Adams has told Kotoko fans to direct their anger and frustration over the exit of Albert Amoah to Kumasi Asante Kotoko officials and not the player.
He made this call in a video in the wake of the major backlash that has taken place following the sale of Amoah from Kotoko to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi.
Mere minutes after Kotoko lost 5-1 to Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca to exit the CAF Confederation Cup, the club announced that it had sold Amoah for an undisclosed fee.
Reports indicate that Amoah will pocket $200,000 from the deal in signing-on fee and will earn a monthly salary of $20,000 with room to increase his wage to $25,000 should he perform well.
In a video, former Black Satellites star Saddick Adams told fans of the Porcupine Warriors to direct their ire to the club’s officials to urge them to use the money generated from Amoah’s sale to develop the club.

“Let’s educate the fans, let them know football is business. I know what he is going to earn there is going to be enough for him and his family and the reason why Kotoko accepted the deal or the offer is because they knew it’s enough.”

“So channel your anger to the club to get them to use the money they’ve received from Amoah’s sale to build infrastructure, to buy good players to replace the guy [Albert Amoah]. They should build training facilities. They should do things to develop the league and the club. It’s not always about three points” Adams said.
