Thomas-Asante has eight goals and three assists in 13 games in all competitions with his latest scoring output coming in Coventry City’s 2-1 win over Portsmouth away from home.

The 26 year old scored twice in the win that puts Coventry City in first place with 25 points and four points ahead of second ranked Middlesbrough. Coventry have seven wins and four draws in 11 games.

“Not being 100% [last season] was really frustrating especially when you can get out there but you can’t feel as good as you want to.”

“I just want to keep on working because anything can happen tomorrow and you don’t want to rest on eight goals… so for me, that’s gone and I just want to keep on going” Thomas-Asante said.
