Ghana Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has named a 24-player squad for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Egypt.
This marks the Black Queens’ first assembly since securing bronze at the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco.
The squad features 22 players from the previous call-up, with the addition of two former Black Princesses stars — Helen Alormenu and Sharon Sampson.
The first leg of the qualifier will take place on October 23, 2025, at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt. The second leg is scheduled for October 28, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Coach Björkegren will be aiming to guide Ghana back to the WAFCON tournament, which will once again be hosted by Morocco in 2026.
