The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) and the Africa-America Institute (AAI) will host the second Global Africa Forum (GAF) in New York City on 25 September 2024.
This event coincides with the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly and will be held at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm.
The forum aims to connect Africa with the diaspora, focusing on economic opportunities and collaboration, in line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Key sectors like energy, health, education, housing, and digital infrastructure will be highlighted.
The event will also explore US-Africa economic policies and public-private partnerships for infrastructure development across Africa.
Stephanie Diatta, Head of International Relations at APN, stated that the forum provides a platform for global Africans to engage with Africa’s economic opportunities.
About APN and AAI:

The inaugural 2023 Global Africa Forum saw the launch of the Global Africa Network by Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, to mobilize over 200 million people of African descent.
The 2024 GAF will focus on scaling up investments in Africa’s infrastructure, aligning with the theme for the 2025 Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) in Accra.
Scheduled to take place in Accra from 30 January to 1 February 2025, APD 2025 will focus on strategic infrastructure development to enhance Africa’s single market, under the theme “Delivering Africa’s Prosperity through Infrastructure: Invest. Integrate. Connect.”
The Global Africa Forum and the Africa Prosperity Dialogues are positioned as annual events that serve as unique platforms for Africa’s private sector actors to collaborate with the public sector, driving the realization of Africa’s single market.
