Nana Joe Adarkwah, head coach of Ampea Darkoa Ladies, has said he is confident of clinching their third successive league title despite the numerous challenges that confronts them especially with regards to their finances.
The giants of the Northern Sector have been ruthless in their outing in the National Women's League (NWL), after claiming last season's double, having won the league title as well as the Super Cup.
But the highly experienced coach of Ampem Darkoa believes that, their resurgence in the women's league is due to adequate planning for the season.
In an interview with GNA Sports, coach Adarkwah said, their mission was to build a formidable side for the season that was capable of defending their title.
''Our target for this season is to reclaim the title. We have a formidable youth and experienced side capable of delivering this.
''We have challenges with finances, but nonetheless we are poised on delivering this season’s title and we hope our efforts would be rewarded and my players would get the chance to move up to the higher level.''
Meanwhile, Ampem Darkoa Ladies face an uphill task in week 2 of the NWL as they come up against arch-rivals Fabulous Ladies whom they have failed to beat last season.
