The Central Regional Minister and Acting Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Agona West, Mrs Ama Benyiwa Doe, has called on Ghanaians to create an enabling environment for the achievement of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) government’s “Better Ghana” agenda.
The Regional Minister said this in a speech read for her by Mr Patrick Anni-Agyei, Special Assistant to the Minister, at the parade of school children to mark the 54th Independence Day Celebration at Agona Swedru.
She said the achievement could not be chalked without discipline, hard work and dedication to duty.
The Regional Minister who also acts as the Chief Executive for the area, following the dismissal of the substantive MCE by the government, said the nation stood the danger of losing the legacy bequeathed to the people by the founding fathers if the citizens failed to stand up against vices that had plagued the society.
The Regional Minister called on the students and the youth to desist from all forms of misbehaviour and indiscipline which did not only have the potential to jeopardize their future but also derailed the Better Ghana agenda.
She asked the people to rally behind the government to realize its objectives and visions to transform the country’s economy.
