Head coach Tanko Ibrahim has set his sights on a historic domestic double after Medeama SC secured a place in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The “Mauve and Yellow” advanced with a 3-0 victory over Attram De Visser Academy at the Cape Coast Stadium.
After a goalless draw in regulation time, Kelvin Nkrumah stole the spotlight with a remarkable hat-trick in extra time to seal the win against the determined Division One side.
With Medeama also leading the Ghana Premier League table on 46 points after 25 matches, the club is firmly on track for a potential league and cup double—an achievement that would mark a major milestone in its history.
Despite the promising position, Tanko insists there will be no prioritization between competitions, emphasizing that his team is determined to compete strongly on all fronts as they pursue silverware.
“I always said we are competing with every cup that we have. So, definitely, we are going for both, and then we’ll see what will happen,” he said.
Currently sitting top of the league standings with 46 points after 25 matches, Medeama’s momentum continues to build as they push to turn their ambitious double dream into reality.
