And Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Oyarzabal eventually doubled the hosts' lead with a stunning free-kick, beating Mamardashvili at his near post with a powerful effort.

The win leaves Spain on course to qualify for next year's tournament in Canada, Mexico and the United States, with Luis de la Fuente's side top of Group E with nine points from their three matches.
