Fans attending the Black Stars' crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros this Sunday have been instructed to be in their seats at the Accra Sports Stadium by 6 pm for the 7 pm kick-off.
Separate public notices issued by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation explicitly states "BE SEATED BY 6PM" and warns of "NO TICKET NO ACCESS," signalling stringent security and access control measures for the high-stakes encounter.
The matchday will see significant traffic disruptions, with security checks announced at the Osu cemetery traffic lights, Independence Square Intersections, and all Ministries Roads leading to the stadium.
To alleviate congestion, all spectators are being directed to "PARK AT THE INDEPENDENCE SQUARE & WALK TO THE ACCRA SPORTS STADIUM."
With Ghana needing just a point from the game to confirm their place at the World Cup, a large turnout is anticipated. Supporters can purchase tickets from various outlets, including the Ministry of Sports & Recreation car park, Airport Shell, Osu Goil & Total, Nima Goil, Joy FM, Batsona Total, Achimota Shell 1 & 2, and Kaneshie Pamprom Goil.
However, a separate notice confirms that "TICKET SALES END 1:00PM ON MATCHDAY SUNDAY."
The available ticket categories are VIP (1,000), Upper VIP (500), Lower VIP (250), Centre Line (100), and Popular Stand (50).
The team enters this final group match in formidable form, having walloped the Central African Republic 5-0 in their previous fixture.
That dominant performance, held in Morocco, featured goals from Mohammed Salisu, Alexander Djiku, Captain Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Kamaldeen Sulemana. The result placed Ghana at the top of Group I with 22 points, leaving Comoros among three teams battling for second place.
Fans will be hoping the Black Stars can replicate that five-star performance on home soil to secure their World Cup qualification.
