THE Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, paid a surprise visit to some members of the national senior female team, the Black Queens, in Israel, to the delight of the football stars.
The President made a quick dash to the West Asian nation where he visited and interacted with some senior players of the team, who ply their trade with different clubs in Israel.
The Black Queens players, including their captain, Portia Boakye, who plays for the Israeli Women's Premier League club, Hapoel Petah Tikva, were astonished by the unplanned visit of the President.
The President held a warm and hearty discussion with the other players plying their professional careers in Israel, including Deputy Captain, Janet Egyir, as well as Susan Duah, Doris Boaduwaa, Philomina Abakah and Sherifatu Sumaila.
During the interaction with the Black Queens players, the atmosphere in the room shifted from astonishment to excitement as he offered words of encouragement and support to the six national team stars.
The players felt honoured and motivated by the President's gesture, with such a visit expected to have a profound impact on the players.
