The Brazilian was an unused substitute at Stade de la Beaujoire on Sunday as Unai Emery's men won 1-0 thanks to Angel Di Maria's first-half poked effort and Les Parisiens No. 7 acknowledged that the Spanish tactician has made it clear to him that he does not feature in his plans moving forward.

"Is there a chance that I stay this winter? I do not think so," Lucas told journalists in the mixed zone after the final whistle. "With what the coach has said, it looks like this is the end of my Paris story.

"I have offers but I cannot talk about them. I like English football very much, it is truly one of the best leagues in the world.

"I have always said that I want to stay in Europe -- I still have things to achieve here."

Emery was pleased with the character and fight that his players showed over the 90 minutes in Nantes, as well as the way they rode pressure from Claudio Ranieri's hosts during the second half.

"When a team fights for each ball over 90 minutes and fights to counter each of their opponents' actions, I think that my team demonstrated today that we can win matches like that too, through difficult and suffering," Emery said. "It was different from many other games.

"Nantes are a difficult team and they put us under a lot of pressure but the team kept its shape and kept hold of the ball and also showed plenty of character.

"In the first half, our control was clearer -- we scored and had two other clear chances. It is true that in the second half, they pushed more and it was harder for us to overcome that pressure. However, I believe that we deserved our win."

Marco Verratti was impressive in midfield but was booked by referee Tony Chapron, who had a shocker of a performance, and the Italy international was pleased with the collective effort and accomplishment.

"I prefer to win like that, as a team," Verratti said. "When there were times when we were suffering, we all defended together. There will be other games like that.

"This second half of the season is going to be very important. We are very happy -- we were strong, we did not concede and we scored.

"I think that it is a victory that will be celebrated -- we are happy this evening."

Marquinhos captained PSG with Thiago Silva and Thiago Motta both out of the starting XI and the young Brazilian praised Emery's second-half changes.

"Nantes came back into the match well," said Marquinhos. "In the first half, we had chances -- we knew that if we could not put the game to bed, that they could always come back.

"Their supporters and the atmosphere here made that possible. The coach understood that and made good changes, which balanced the match at the end.

"We had some chances but in the end, everything went well. We all know that these are three important points, especially in Nantes. We are happy. "

Next up for PSG are Dijon at home before a trip to Lyon next weekend, both in Ligue 1.
