The Central Regional Division Two Middle League kicked off on Monday at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium at Cape Coast.
Eight clubs made up of Agona Fankobaa, Swedru Young Rangers, Odupon Heroes and Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks are participating in the week-long competition.

In the opening match, Winneba Soccer Intellectuals started the tournament on a bright note by beating Agona Fankobaa 2-1.
After a goalless first half, the Winneba boys took absolute command of the game and scored the opener in the 65th minute through their substitute player, Iddris Rauf.
They continued to dictate the pace but against the run of play, Fankobaa's midfielder, Abeiku Quansah in the 76th minute delivered a long range shot for the equaliser.
Soccer Intellectuals who were determined to carry the day, continued to attack in droves and no wonder they managed to score the match winner in the 85th minute through outside right, Joshua Mensah.
In another encounter, Ofaakor Great Odupon whipped Agona Swedru Young Rangers 3-0.
