The Mission
Returning Marlon Anipa as Hohoe North NPP parliamentary candidature such that we will
develop and implement a coherent plan for building an effective broad based party organisation and structure, based on inclusive leadership, vision and purpose.
The focus is to achieve growth and to harness our collective potential to position the NPP to deliver sustainable economic and social development for Ghanaians at home and abroad, making us the natural party of Government.
The Message
The key messages will be to:
o Grow and broaden membership base in the run up to the 2012 elecions(develop channels to communicate message, win broad appeal and grow membership);
o Make innovative contributions to influence development of coherent framework and policy towards Election 2012(innovative policy development);
o Build relationships with the national and overseas branches (NPP) and leverage our collective experience, resources and enterprise for national development (strengthen relationship with national and overseas branches of the NPP);
o Win enfranchisement for Ghanaians abroad to provide a voice for Ghanaians abroad and to give true meaning to our democratic ideals (enfranchisement);
o Listen to the real concerns of Ghanaians and champion their interest (listen);
o Effectively communicate policy and agenda for change (influence public agenda/debate);
o Finally, to work within a team that will offer leadership, clear direction, and purpose, and work to position our party (NPP) as the leading establishment of our national structure (leadership, vision and positioning).
The above will be achieved, building on the successful and laudable work of previous NPP leadership both at the local and national level. I will continue in the enduring values and traditions of our great party whilst adapting these values to the challenges of our modern era.
Organisation and management
• Work with the Chairman in building an effective leadership structure and team that will progressively steer the affairs of the party (NPP) party and be in touch with the grassroots of the party
• Organise and build effective party machinery to increase membership across our local community and indeed all communities in Ghana
• To play an active role in the process of developing a strategy for effective organisation of the party locally.
• Target organised party activist throughout the Hohoe North and seek their welfare
• Develop a strong PR machinery to articulate and communicate the message of the party
• Influence and direct political agenda and debate through organised forum - symposia on topical issues, radio interviews and lead articles in major Ghanaian, African and global publications
• Provide strong and visionary leadership that will galvanise our people for an NPP electoral victory at both parliamentary and presidential elections in December 2012
Overseas relations
• Establish and maintain strong bonds with our overseas braches
• Leverage overseas contribution to economy (injection of + $2b/yr) for recognition at national level
• Network with overseas party (NPP) in Europe, US, Canada and other territories/countries
• Work with National Party to develop and reinforce links with centre right parties and associated international organisations, building a coalition of groups committed to democratic governance
Profile, Qualifications and Experience
Consultant and Assessor – Health and Social Care, London, UK
Deputy –Director (Mental Health Organisation): Responsible for the management and providing direction of my organisation in all matters: Strategic planning of services, managing of staff, strategy evaluating and financial administration of the organisation.
• Graduate with lots of experience in management and party organisation
• Over 15 years experience of leadership in management of organisations
• Experience of politics at local, regional and national level
• Founding member of NPP
• Worked as a key NPP Executive member –
o to formulate key elements of campaign strategy for 1992, 2000, 2004and 2008 elections
o Organiser - NPP UK and Ireland
o Dep Secretary NPP UK and Ireland
o Served in various capacities as an Executive member of NPP UK and Ireland Branch for over 10 yrs
• Strong and proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Different eras call for different styles of leadership. The task facing us now is the responsibility of retuning to government. In Marlon who have the man who will support us and lead us to achieve this goal.
