 Composes music for the Asantehene for his relaxation
Management and Staff of Anigye102.5FM have expressed gratitude to the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi for his immeasurable contribution to the success of the station over the past one year. The visit, which forms part of activities marking the first anniversary celebrations of Anigye FM, also coincided with the celebration of Akwasi Dae.
Led by Station Manager Franklin Nuamah, management and Staff of Anigye FM thanked the Asantehene for his support and inspiration to Anigye FM and promised to continue with the good work that Anigye is currently doing in the Garden City.
Mr. Nuamah revealed that Anigye FM is working closely with the Otumfour Charity to raise money for the purchase of educational materials to help raise the standard of education in the Ashanti region and in Ghana. “We believe in investing in our human resource through education and training; and we at Anigye FM will do our part by supporting the Charity Fund in any way we can.â€
Management also presented gift items and a special music to the Asantehene. Anigye FM’s Station Manager explains that “the music is to soothe and help you relax. As music oriented station, we believe in the power of music to ease and calm the nerves after a hard day’s work. We are aware of the huge task on your shoulders and how hard you work to see Asanteman develop.
The Okyeame of the Asantehene thanked Anigye FM for the marvelous work they are doing in the Kumasi and the entire Ashanti region and urged them to stand by the truth in all their endeavours.
Akwasi Dae is an event held by the Asantes every forty days in remembrance of their great leaders, warriors and ancestors who left behind legacies. Beginning with appellations to the Asantehene and the ancestors interlaced with drumming and dancing, Akwasi Dae is also a moment for reflection on what lessons can be drawn from the past in order to reinforce development in Asanteman.
