Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana has inducted a new Executive Committee to lead the organisation for the 2026/2027 term.
The induction took place during the organisation’s end-of-year hangout, dubbed “PR in the Park,” held on December 13, 2025, at the Memory Place in Haatso, Accra, according to a statement issued to the Ghana News Agency.
The statement said the new leadership was expected to steer the organisation over the next two years, with a focus on professional development, mentorship and leadership opportunities for women in public relations and strategic communications.
Joyce Sackitey Ahiadorme, the Outgoing President, reflected on her tenure and expressed confidence in the new team, saying, “It has been a privilege to serve Women in PR Ghana and work alongside professionals passionate about strengthening the PR industry.”
“I am proud of our progress and confident that the incoming Executive Committee will continue to expand the organisation’s impact and reach,” she said.
The statement said that under her leadership, WiPR Ghana strengthened its programmes and consolidated its reputation as a key platform for learning, networking and leadership development for women in communications.
Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny was sworn in as President, with Ohenewaa Brown as Vice President.
Other officers are Gwendy Tetteh, Finance Coordinator; Deborah Bonney, Events Coordinator; Adisa Amanor-Wilks, Senior Communications and Diaspora Relations Coordinator; and Gloria Apprey, Communications Coordinator.
Addressing the gathering, Ms Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny said the new committee was committed to building on the achievements of the outgoing leadership while expanding opportunities for women practitioners and students.
“I am honoured by the confidence placed in me and the new Executive Committee. We aim to make the network an even more vibrant, supportive, and empowering space where women communicators can thrive.
“We will also expand thought leadership and capacity-building initiatives while amplifying our presence nationally, continentally, and globally,” she said.
