The Accra Hub is a group of phenomenal and amazing young Ghanaians committed to shaping the community through innovation, economic and political engagement. They represent a myriad of diverse backgrounds and occupational fields such as healthcare, fashion, manufacturing and commerce, education, journalism, politics, law, technology and entrepreneurship. They believe in a world where young people are central to solution building, policy-making and lasting change.
The Accra Hub builds capacity and provides support for entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs. It is an innovation and incubation centre where business ideas are generated, tested, scaled and rolled out onto the market. The Hub leverages entrepreneurship as a platform for the creation of jobs and wealth. It is the go-to place for different categories of persons who have the drive and determination to embark on an entrepreneurial journey.
The Accra Hub is the international institution for public private cooperation. It connects communities of leaders around global issues through high-level meetings, research, initiatives and digital networks. It is a non-profit, impartial and independent group that believes in dialogue and cooperation between business, government and civil society to improve the state of the world.
One of the products it has is the co-working space where individuals have access to unlimited internet service, meeting room, mail handling as well as business Promotion on Social Media Channels. It offers business support services such as website development, logo design, preparation of financial statements, courier services, business registration, legal advisory amongst others. The team at the Accra Hub also do training and advisory services in all functional areas of entrepreneurship, career development and business management.
The Accra Hub provides room for entrepreneurs and corporate executives to engage clients and other key stakeholders. There is also a fully-furnished private office space for people who require privacy and discretion for meetings. The Hub has spearheaded several community initiatives, notably: monthly dialogue series with community thought leaders, Forum members local champions; youth political awareness sessions with the Ghana Electoral Commission, government and media agencies.
One program it undertook is the Ghana SDG Entrepreneurship Challenge which leverages leadership development as an entry point for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. It also introduced the Graduate Business Development Program. This program empowers and supports graduates of tertiary institutions to embrace entrepreneurship with the support of business coaches, venture capitalists, investors and other funding agencies.
The Accra Hub does Professionals-In-Transition. This is designed to facilitate the transition of professionals from the world of employment to the world of entrepreneurship. It organizes the Winning Women Enterprise. This initiative addresses the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and leverages entrepreneurship as an avenue for women’s empowerment. It also has the business fellowship which leverages biblical principles for business and career success. Through this program, inspirational business and career guidance is provided.
There is the Hands-On Apprenticeship Program. This intervention provides economic empowerment opportunities and skills through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
